System overview

MAYOL combines underwater video capture, laser illumination and DimEye’s Video Laser Scan processing to produce point clouds and 3D as-built models. The diver records a video pass at the specified stand-off distance, then transfers the SD-card data for onshore processing. DimEye identifies MAYOL as a partnership with SIDUS; VLS processing is not represented as SIDUS-owned software.

Structure/as-built stand-off: 1–3 m.
Recommended capture: 4K at 30 frames/s; approximately 55 minutes recording in the documented configuration.
Storage: SD card; transfer for onshore processing.
Outputs: 3D point clouds and CAD models; .dgn, .dwg, .step and .igs examples are listed.
Controls: GoPro camera controls via push buttons; laser and light use on/off switches.
