This Oceanbotics video features an operation carried out by Kvarøy Oppdrettservice from the vessel Okstind, with ROVITEC founder Roy Viken serving as skipper alongside the crew.

Using the SRV-8, Per-Arne Grindskar inserted a split pin into a shackle at a depth of 90 metres. He then used the ROV’s gripper to bend the split pin, securing it in place.

This hands-on experience with equipment, offshore operations and conditions at sea informs ROVITEC’s technical advice and selection of solutions.
